Saturday 5th May 2018
10am – 1.30pm
In this Workshop we will look at the Chakra System.
In traditional Yoga the Chakras are concentrated areas of Prana. Prana is vitality, life-force, energy: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. It flows throughout the body/ mind system.
The Chakras can be linked to the endocrine system and nerve plexuses in the physical body. They are also attributed an emotional and psychological interpretation that connects our yoga practice to our overall being.
In this workshop we shall bring awareness to the individual chakras and practice some traditional Pranayama (breath control) Beja Mantra (chanting), Bandha (inner core work) and Asana (postures) techniques that aim to un-blocked our trapped energy and encourage the free flow of prana throughout our being.
